About Redinger & Associates, Inc.

Since its founding in 1991, Redinger & Associates, Inc. has quickly become a knowledge leader in the area of strategic EHS management. RAI models and methods have been widely published and used successfully throughout the world. The firm has worked with EHS departments in the largest public and private sector organizations to improve the organizations' overall performance.

The firm’s founder, Charles Redinger, Ph.D. is a recognized expert in EHS Risk Management and organizational transformation. He has a Ph.D. in Industrial Health from the University of Michigan, a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Colorado, and a BA in Chemistry from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Dr. Redinger’s work has been spurred on by his on-going commitment to find the “Holy Grail” for the EHS profession and his deep commitment to occupational and environmental health, where human well-being inside and outside of the fence line can be maximized.

Since finishing his doctoral work, he has pursued rigorous post-doctoral skill-development to augment his strong technical base, with the belief that as a profession, we have reached limits on what can be achieved with technical knowledge, and that new skills are needed to move beyond simple incremental improvements in EHS performance.  Highlights of this development work include:

  • MIT Sloan School of Management.  At MIT, he has been pursuing an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation.
  • Society for Organizational Learning (SoL). With the SoL course work and involvement, he has been in an intense learning environment on Peter Senge’s work.  The core piece has been a leadership course taught by Senge.
  • World Business Academy.  A key aspect of the Academy is examining the relationship between business and society.  Attending their workshops and conferences has broadened his understanding about what’s possible in organizational performance.
  • Deepak Chopra. Yes Chopra!  The Chopra work came from learning about the courses he teaches at the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern in leadership and organizational transformation.
  • Work with an Organizational Coach who is an expert in organizational performance improvement.  This work has focused on strengthening skills generally as an organizational consultant, and specifically in working with EHS professionals to facilitate their commitment to reach higher performance levels.

Charles Redinger developed the EHS Integration Model, incorporating much of these skill sets to guide organizations to enter and succeed in the Integration Dimension.
