Management System Design
Our understanding and experience in management system design is surpassed by few. We have provided technical support to international agencies, US standards making bodies, and governments in the development of EHS management systems.
Our Generic Management System model, developed by Dr. Redinger has been used widely throughout the world. It has provided a robust means for regulatory agencies and organizations to assess their management systems.
With this in-depth knowledge, we assist clients
In selecting the best management system approach for their organization. In most cases, this involves designing a system that meets unique organizational needs. While we understand the importance of system registration or certification, this is not our focus.
Our goal is to design a system for clients that increases performance and sets the stage to enter the Integration Dimension.
Management System Implementation
We support organizations in the implementation of their EHS management system.
With an EHS management system design established, we work with clients to determine which components are already in place and to start implementation In our publications and teachings, we have identified four general starting point strategies, depending upon the organizations needs. These are:
The Policy Statement
Management Leadership and Employee Participation
Performance Measurement, Metrics, Auditing
Communication and Documentation Systems
With an action plan in place, we facilitate a one to three day meeting with the EHS group where we provide implementation tools and skill-development methods. Through implementation rollout, we work with EHS personnel to develop promotional materials and conduct information/training sessions with operations and line personnel.
Following the meeting, you can expect to have:
- The tools and skills needed for success
- An excellent understanding of management systems and implementation principles
- An implementation plan grounded in your organizational needs.
- Confidence that your efforts will succeed
