Strategic Planning
The strategic planning facilitation service includes four phases. We begin by working with the senior EHS personnel to gain familiarity with the organization’s background and history, and then to establish the strategic planning goals. In the second phase, we design the strategic planning meeting and conduct pre-meeting interviews with participants. In the third phase, we facilitate a two to three day meeting. We follow up by providing a written summary of the meeting and action plan.
In some instances, clients ask for assistance implementing the plan and keeping action items moving along.
Through our facilitation, you can expect a strategic plan that is:
- Authentically aligned with the EHS group’s and organization’s vision.
- Aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Not burdened by the past.
- Going to succeed.
Public Agency Support
Many of RAI’s assignments are with public agencies. With our background and education in public administration and public policy, we have a very good understanding of the public sector environment. EHS issues are not unique to the private sector. Public sector organizations face the same challenges in achieving higher levels of EHS Integration.
We have provided public policy analysis and standards development support to agencies. In the 1990s, we prepared a white paper on OHS management systems for the Undersecretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health. We have conducted research for OSHA on Third-Party Certification and Performance Measurement methods. For NIOSH we have conducted several research project, including examining Management System Effectiveness, and OHS Issues in micro organizations. Finally, we have provided support to the Government of Singapore, Ministry of Manpower in the implementation of their 10 year strategic plan, and have worked with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on their EHS Framework.
Dr. Redinger Public Speaking
With his extensive background in wide range of EHS management issues, Dr. Redinger provides public speaking services on a regular basis. This includes Keynote presentations at organizational annual conferences, dinner presentations for professional societies, and mini seminars/workshops.
EHS Research
RAI’s practice represents a mixed model of organizational consulting and research. In a sense, we are always conducting research, always learning from organizational support services.
In some cases, clients have specific questions or issues that require literature reviews, data collection, benchmarking, statistical analysis, and case study write ups. We are very knowledgeable in issues associated with conducting survey research and program evaluation.
Legal Support
Over the years we have been sought by attorneys to conduct research, provide consultations, and provide expert witness services on EHS issues including risk assessment, exposure assessment, and regulatory compliance.
