Seminars & Workshops

At RAI, we are educators and facilitators for those who want to lead EHS initiatives and take their personal and organizational performance to higher levels.  We design our seminars to maximize participant value.

Our standard seminars / workshops include

Creating a New Context for EHS Professionals
                   Senior Executive EHS Integration Intensive

We design custom seminars/workshops for clients on request.  A typical assignment is designing and leading a workshop/seminar at client annual meetings for their EHS staff.

Creating a New Context for EHS Professionals

This three-day seminar is the signature piece of the Seven Steps to EHS Integration. Here we address the first three steps of Understanding, Shifting the EHS Mindset, and New Leadership Capacities.

The seminar is broken into five sections.

  1. Stop, pause, and reflect.  The focus is on an inquiry to look at what’s really going on!  Some call this examining the current reality.  This takes most of the first day of the seminar.
  2. Examine aspirations and vision.  Look at why we do what we do as EHS professionals.  Look at how we relate to our aspirations and visions.  Get in touch with what we care about.
  3. Generate a vision, individually and as a collective.  With the understanding and insights from revealing the current reality and learning about the mechanisms of aspiration and vision, and our relationship to them, the condition is set to generate a new vision.
  4. Assemble a tool box of skills needed to fulfill the vision.  Examine how a collective develops new capacities.
  5. Create a project and something at stake.  Get on the court practicing, you could say “use it or lose it”  On the afternoon of the third day, projects are created to take the EHS functions into the Integration Dimension.

Prior to the seminar we conduct interviews with participants to begin the introduction to new distinctions and gain an understanding of current conditions and aspirations.

At the end of the seminar, you can expect to have:

  • A new perspective on what it is to be an EHS professional
  • A clear understanding of --- and the skills on --- how to integrate your EHS Function deeper into the organizational fabric.
  • Methods on how to generate a vision
  • Deepened leadership skills
  • A meaningful project that will pull you forward in using the seminar’s tools.

Senior Executive EHS Integration Intensive

This is a one-day seminar designed to introduce Senior Executives and board members to cutting-edge EHS management and integration issues.  Using the EHS Integration Model and Methodology, we show executives their role in entering the Integration Dimension and how higher levels of EHS performance can be achieved.  We emphasis how the EHS function can be a driver in defining the organization’s core values and mission.
